The 150 acre, southwest facing estate, on legendary Howell Mountain benefits from rocky, volcanic soil, excellent sun exposure, and drainage which creates elegant wines with complexity and grace.

Zakin’s limited, small production of approximately 500 cases of estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon provides the ability to meticulously tend to the grapes and ensure every cluster carries the full vibrancy and complexity of the land. To augment the estate grown Cabernet Sauvignon is a Chardonnay from the Russian River Valley created in the classic style for French Chablis- crisp, light and bright.

Called by Antonio Galloni, of Vinous “one of the great under the radar gems of the Napa Valley”,and would like in his personal cellar, Zakin has always focused on quality over quantity. Lead by winemaker Philippe Melka, who Robert Parker called one of the world’s top nine winemakers, the Zakin style emulates Melka’s philosophy to show the site through the wine, and to respect the grape’s uniqueness as much as possible.The result is a portfolio of wines that express the depth, elegance, and harmony of the land – structured, layered, and enduring.
